There is a huge range of art styles that fall into the category of "Graffiti Art" and as many reasons someone may want to purchase some of that art. For example, here are a half-dozen reasons:
- You want to add an urban feel to your home, office, restaurant, bar, etc.
- You need to add some color and to your bland walls.
- You want people to think you are "Street".
- You ARE street and you are just staying true to yourself.
- You respect the history and social messages of Graffiti Art.
- You just like the style.
Graffiti art goes by lots of names and is related to other types of art. Graffiti art is sometimes called street art or urban art, and is related to pop art and abstract art ... but generally falls into the contemporary art category.
For example, this piece below is from a well known graffiti artist (Eine) and it is obviously more like contemporary art than street graffiti.
